80% Cab Franc
Earliest harvest dates that we have had ever for both varieties. Super hot conditions and an extremely low yield year resulted in very concentrated expression of flavors. Roasted red pepper, black cherry rounded out with a touch of that smoky character we love in Cab Franc. Softer acids than in previous vintages but with nicely structured tannin that will lend well to aging this wine for at least another 5 - 7 years. Beautiful extended finish of those concentrated flavours of dried black cherry, raspberry and plum.
