The Tasting Barn is ground zero for sharing the love.

(Unfortunately we can't bind the love. We do not host weddings.)

Hit the Barn and learn more about wine in a friendly and fun way from a great team. The Barn staff are surrogate family (or in the case of Julia, the real mccoy). If you're looking for the inside scoop these guys moonlight on the wine production side too -- elephants are all about vertical integration.

☠ WARNING: Wine snobbery is a criminal offence here ... all offenders are automatically sentenced to one season of Apricot de-pitting. Consider yourself warned.

Tasting Room

Tasting Fee
There is no tasting free charged for individuals for a flight of wine (for groups see below). Specialty wines are tasted for a $5 fee.

Kids
Kids are very welcome at Elephant Island. We have a great kids center well stocked with toy cars, stuffed animals and of course tea sets, so be sure to bring the kids out of the car!

Dogs
Same for your pets, please get them out of the car - especially in the summer. They can visit the tasting room on a leash.

For Groups
There is a tasting fee for groups. Please call (250.496.5522) for details and to book your appointment. This way we are able to ensure we have enough staff on hand to treat you right. Parking for large vehicles (IE coaches) is difficult - we recommend coaches drop passengers at the top entrance (it is an easy walk downhill to the tasting room) and pick-up from the bottom entrance (another easy walk - more downhill - through the orchard with lovely views of the lake).

April 2017: 11:00 - 4:00 daily

  • May 1, 2017 - June 30, 2017: 10:30 - 5:30 daily
    July 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017: 10:30 - 6:00 daily
    September 1, 2017 - October 8, 2017: 10:30 - 5:30 daily
    October 9, 2017 - October 31, 2017: 11:00 - 4:00 daily
  • November 2017: Saturdays 12:00 - 4:00 
    In the off-season we are happy to open during the week for SALES BY APPOINTMENT.
