The Island / Tasting Room
As with our wines, our goal is to amuse and amaze in the tasting room too!
At Elephant Island we pride ourselves in not taking ourselves too seriously - wine was designed to loosen-up the imbiber. No wine snobbery found here!
All kidding aside, we do our best to provide as much information as is desired in a warm, welcoming way. We encourage tasters to sit down for tastings in our tree-shaded courtyard... a much more civilized way to taste we think.
Tasting Fee
There is no tasting fee charged. As most people have had limited (or unpleasant!) experience with fruit wine we relish the opportunity to make you a believer...
Kids
Kids are very welcome at Elephant Island. We have a great kids center well stocked with toy cars, paper airplanes, stuffed animals and of course tea sets, so be sure to bring the kids out of the car!
For groups larger than 10
We love a call ahead (250.496.5522) with rough details. This way we are able to ensure we have enough staff on hand to treat you right. Parking for large vehicles (IE coaches) is difficult - we recommend coaches drop passengers at the top entrance (it is a easy walk downhill to the tasting room) and pick-up from the bottom entrance (another easy walk - more downhill - through the orchard with lovely views to the Lake). We charge $2 per person for groups over 10. This fee is waived if purchases exceed $8 per person (generally not hard to do).

- April 2011: 11.00 - 4.00 daily
- May 1st, 2011 - October 9th, 2011: 10:30 - 5:30 daily
- October 10 - 30, 2011: 11 - 4 daily
- In the off-season we are happy to open BY APPOINTMENT.
